In July, 2007 CJSC “Ukrainian mobile communication” (UMC) has become a part of the international MTS brand

Together with its subsidiaries OJSC “Mobile TeleSystems” serves more over 74,67 million subscribers. 84 regions of Russia, as well as Belarus, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, where MTS and its subsidiaries are licensed to provide GSM services, have a total population of more than 230 million. Since June, 2000 the stocks of MTS are listed on the New York Stock Exchange under MBT symbol.

MTS network in Ukraine covers more than 95 percent of the territory of Ukraine where 99 percent of population of Ukraine resides. The company serves more than 20 million subscribers. The company holds on the licenses of rendering of services of mobile (GSM-900, GSM-1800, CDMA-450 standard), fixed location and international / long-distance communications, as well as provides the service of international roaming on five continents.
